Monni Technologies Oy (“we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share personal data when you use our services, including Discord bot hosting, licensing, support, and our website.

Data We Collect​

We collect only the personal data we need to provide our services:

  • Contact data: your email address, Discord username and the messages you send us by email or in our Discord server's tickets.
  • Customer and invoicing data: your name, company name, billing address and VAT number, and the details of what you've ordered from us.
  • Hosted bot data: data stored by bots we host for you. We process this on your behalf as a data processor, as described in the Data Processing Agreement in our hosting terms.

We also receive data from third-party services necessary for providing our services:

Cloudflare – We use Cloudflare to provide security, performance, and statistics about visits to our website. This may include:

  • Browser and device type
  • Country

Payment Providers (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) – We process payments using third-party services. These providers collect your payment information (e.g., card number, billing address) directly. We do not store full payment details ourselves.

How We Use Your Data​

We only use the data we collect for:

  • Answering your questions and providing support.

  • Providing the services you've ordered.

  • Ensuring our website and services operate securely and efficiently.

  • Processing payments and issuing invoices.

  • Legal and tax compliance.

  • We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

For EU/EEA users, our legal bases for processing personal data are:

  • Contractual necessity: to provide hosting, licensing, and payment processing.

  • Legal obligation: for accounting, invoicing, and tax compliance.

  • Legitimate interests: website security, analytics, and uptime monitoring.

Sharing Your Data​

We only share data with:

  • Payment processors: Stripe, PayPal, or other providers as needed to process your payments.

  • Cloudflare: for website security, analytics, and performance.

  • Legal authorities: if required by law.

  • Discord: Messages you send in our Discord server are processed by Discord, Inc. under its own privacy policy.

  • Hosting providers: Hetzner Online GmbH and NetCup GmbH, for hosting our services in the EU.

  • Any data collected by the bot while running in Discord servers is controlled by the customer. Monni Technologies Oy does not access or store Discord user data beyond hosting infrastructure needs or contractual obligations.

Data Retention​

  • Cloudflare statistics: retained according to Cloudflare’s policies.

  • Payment records: retained for accounting and tax compliance (typically 6 years in Finland).

  • Support messages and emails: kept for as long as needed to handle your request, and for up to 2 years afterwards.

  • Customer data: kept for the duration of our agreement and for as long as needed for legal or accounting purposes afterwards.

Your Rights​

If you are an EU/EEA resident, you have the following rights:

  • Access your personal data.

  • Correct inaccuracies.

  • Request deletion of your personal data (except where retention is legally required.).

  • Restrict processing.

  • Object to processing.

  • Lodge a complaint with your local Supervisory Authority.

  • For payment data, you must contact your payment provider (Stripe, PayPal) directly.

Security​

We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Secure hosting and encrypted connections.

  • Limited access to personal data for necessary staff.

  • Regular monitoring and backups.

International Transfers​

We process personal data within the EU/EEA. Discord, Inc. is based in the United States, so messages sent in our Discord server are transferred outside the EU/EEA under Discord's own transfer mechanisms. If you don't want this, you can contact us by email instead. Payment providers may transfer data outside the EU/EEA under their own compliance mechanisms (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

Cookies​

Our website may use cookies through Cloudflare to improve performance, security and provide cookie consent. These are strictly necessary or anonymized statistics cookies.

Changes to this Privacy Policy​

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected with an updated effective date.
